Creative Projects
I wrote the intro for Joseph Caster’s book A Nervous Contact.
-
As winter’s icy fingertips melt into pools of silver, the luminous sun warms the air and soil and gingerly wakes a slumbering figure. Bursting from the thawing ground, flowers emerge to encircle a pulsating, pink body. Entrapped in a blossoming coffin, she lures the spectator with promises of endless affection. The pinkness on full display is tempting, intoxicating, and potentially disastrous.
This work draws parallels to an eternal rose in Eden, fully bloomed and striking, yet utterly trapped in her carefully assembled garden. Freedom can only be found through plucking, wilting, and dissolving into the same damp soil she arose from.
The images in this work are hallucinatory, with crisp details and unsettling juxtapositions that heighten the euphoria that accompanies them. They incite a feverish obsession to pick one’s ideal resting place. Each character performs its ritual while demanding attention in their theatrical enclosures.
I created the wallpaper patterns in Julio Torres’ 2025 calendar “Into the Tower”
As Julio ascends the tower, he goes impossibly high into the stratosphere. Surrounded by companions, enemies, hypnotic patterns, and strange objects, this is truly the odyssey of a lifetime…
My paintings have been published in Tomorrow's Talent Vol. III and acquired by many collectors including the prestigious Fidelity Art Collection in 2025.
